August 10, IRIS Technologies Launches Altera Stratix III based prototyping platformsIRIS Launches S3 compute board that is based Altera Stratix III FPGAs.The S3 compute board has two Altera Stratix III 340 FPGA along with 2 DDRII SODIMMs that provide 4 GB of on board memory.

The S3 compute card also contains 4 Altera HSMC connectors that provide 256 Gbps of interconnect bandwidth between multiple boards or to other daughter cards.  The board can be used stand alone or in IRIS systems and applicances.  the board will also fit most standard servers that accomodate long boards in PCIe x8 slots
